Urgent Server HELP needed

Please can any help???

I am running a network of Mac's (all 10.2.6). One is 10.2.6 server. This is used as a local mail server. I have just installed Retrospect 5 on the server to back up various things including my Apple mail data. I stopped mail services to do the back up, but the server crashed in the middle of doing it. Now I cannot start the mail services again!! In fact I cannot log on to the server settings at all. I type in the server IP address, User name and Password but when I press "connect" I get an Error message That reads:

What can I do to fix this URGENTLY!!!

By the way....Sorry for posting this in the wrong section but i thought it may get faster reply's here!!

Try reapplying the latest update (10.2.6). If that doesn't work, you may have to go back and reinstall the system. Then you can restore just the data from your backup, not the entire system.
