Hi,
Will i be able to use an iBook from the USA in the UK by just using an adaptor on the plug, or will i need to buy a UK power supply?
Many thanks
Ben

Adaptor is fine, the only thing that will be different maybe the lack of £ sign on the keyboard. But that's easily fixed, just change your location to the UK and press the number 3 key.

I use my UK ibook in Australia, and have bought a Powerbook in Australia that I use the the UK. Both are fine, the adaptor works well.

See Giaguara's excellent FAQ on exactly this subject here
No offense intended (its your first post and you weren't necessarily to know), but in future its worth using the search function before you post a question. There is a lot of good stuff in the archive but its so far down the list that you will only find it using search.

Welcome to the site, have fun. :)

Hi Ben,

that thread has all the answers. :)

If you take a BA flight, buy an adapter from the airplane. That one will make any elctric device work everywhere. It does not convert the voltage, but apple products work 100 - 240 v.

PS. iPod minis will be sold in UK only in APRIL - you might want to buy one .. even in case you don#t want one, you can always sell it and get some cash, and make someone very happy for getting an iPod mini months before they are released in UK. ;)
