USB iPod?

Is it possible to connect an iPod to a USB port? I am considering buying an iPod, and I have my G4 iMac with Firewire, so I would be able to use it anyway, but my 333mhz iMac doesn't have FireWire, and I'd still like to use it as a hard drive and run music off it (using those plug ins that let you)

My first guess is No. I've not seen any firewire to usb converters which is what you would need presumably.

you can go from Fire Wire to SCSI to USB (i am positive about the FW to SCSI but not too sure about the SCSI to USB)

You might want to give the 'Oddessy 1000' a glance... I forget the address right now, but I'm sure you can find it in one of the "iPod ripoff" threads. Granted, your file transfers will go a lot slower, and it won't be an authentic apple product, but I will work for both computers.
