USB Mice on Wallstreets?

Snowball

Switched the Other Way
I have a PBG3 Wallstreet 300 and wanted to replace my trusty old one-button ADB Apple beige mouse with a Kensington MouseWorks from here, basically because it matches the black/white colors of the Wallstreet and its only 9 dollars (well, a little more with the shipping) :D.

Anyway, the problem is that it is a USB mouse and Wallstreets only have ADB, so I was wondering if anyone had bought a USB PC Card (or other USB solution) for their laptop and what their experience was.
It looks like Apple writes the drivers for USB PC Cards which hopefully means that they are supported under OS X? (I have 10.1.3) At least that is what
this Macally site says under the "System Requirements" subtitle.

Is it worth getting a USB 2.0 card yet (I don't think drivers are made by Apple)? Macally has it listed for only 10 dollars more but I was wondering about compatiblity/reliability vs. USB 1?

Thanks a lot!

PS Actually, all of this could be avoided if anyone knew if it was possible to get a decent ADB and USB mouse (preferably Kensington b/c they have the best drivers) that has a scroll wheel, at least 4 buttons, and if possible optical-tracking?
Anything is better than my 1 button lint-magnet, and using those amazingly useful scroll wheels has tempted me to upgrade.

I own a Wallstreet 250 13.3", with a… (ejecting PCMCIA card to read specs) "Macally CardBus to USB adapter", part number UH276. (inserting PCMCIA card because trackpads suck…)

I also own a Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical, which I am very happy about. I am very happy with my configuration.

I spent about $70 when I got my PCMCIA card from Macally--it's the standard USB. I didn't know Macally had a USB 2.0 version out, and for $70, it looks like a good deal. If you are only planning on using a mouse or keyboard with it, don't bother with USB 2.0--it's overkill. But still, $10 more for how much more speed? I don't know about USB 2.0 and Mac OS X, because I have had very little experience with either product.

I've been running Mac OS 9 exclusively because I wasn't sure if my PB could handle X, but I can tell you that Apple has a download entitled something like "USB Card Adapter" that will hook you up. My mouse cost $30 or so from CompUSA, by the way.
