USB port problem

I have a GHz Intel Core Duo Macbook. As of about a month ago, after trying to update my brother's Ipod, both of my USB ports stopped working. Nothing sends to my printer and whenever I tried to connect his Ipod again, it would give me a message something to the effect of "This port is drawing too much, it must be shut down." Can anybody give me a hand with this?

Sounds like a hardware problem. I'd bring it to the store where you got it from, call AppleCare or whatever applies. Might be repaired under warranty.
