I really want to get dual LCD's going on with my G5. I certainly don't have the money to buy a new Apple display. However, there are a lot of 17 inch Apple displays for sale on eBay, most of em with a few hours left are at about $ 350 I would assume they will climb to about $450-500 by the end of the auction. I really want to get an Apple display to go with the G5, the biggest benifits include being able to use the ADC port on my 9600XT without buying the 40 dollar converter, and getting a few more USB ports.
The problem is that for 420 dollars I could get a new Samsung 172X and it is fairly adjustable and has a very low responce time (12ms).
I guess I just really want some opinions, I already know the Apple displays are nice, as well as the Samsung. If the bids climb to say $460 or so it would be about the same as buying the Samsung and the adaptor.
Does anyone have any stats on the last generation of 17inch apple displays? Stuff like contrast ratio, responce time etc...
