I run my small business using Macs and am interested in upgrading to OS X. The hard part is that I have to be able to use dot matrix impact printers in order to print the multi-part forms that we use. Under OS9, I was able to use PowerPrintPRO in order to use these printers- it created an AT Epson FX option in the Chooser. Unfortunately, I don't see a similar solution in OS X. Any suggestions? I can't be the only business owner in America who needs to print to multi-part forms from OS X!
I'm using an Epson FX-1180+ printer on an ethernet network. The ethernet cable goes into an AsanteTalk device which steps down to a parallel cable which goes into an adaptor to the Epson printer through a standard PC port... I'd love it if the solution were simpler. How do PC networks hook up to these printers via ethernet?
