using Airport Express without an internet connection

Hi all - I am trying to use an airport express to hook up to my home stereo from an intel iMac.

When I had an internet connection (via cable) it worked great. Took 5 mins to set up.

However, the landlord cut my cable a while ago and I'm too lazy to get another connection, since I'm able to go online via others' wireless.

I can't figure out how to get my wireless music pipe working again. I'd like to think that the airport express doesn't need an internet connection just to pipe music, any ideas how to get this working out there ?

Many thanks for any help on this, I loved using the iMac as a massive jukebox.

An update: got the wireless stereo connection working, by resetting the airport express and just starting over. Not a big deal.

Now, the challenge is how to connect to the neighbor's internet and my airport express at the same time.

I think this can be done by configuring the Express to behave like a client to the neighbor's wireless, but I am not sure. Then, my iMac would be connected to the Express, which is serving tunes to my stereo, and also relaying to the neighbor's wireless.

Any ideas?
