Using Audio Hijack with Skype

I’ve believe I've set up all my audio inputs correctly to record separate tracks for a podcast using Skype for Mac and Audio Hijack Pro. This is how I've set it up:

Mac: Audio Input - Snowball Mic with volume up to highest
Audio Output - Headphones

Skype: Same input and output as above

Audio Hijack: Skype - used to record only the caller's side so hijacking advanced options is set to standard mode (hijacking one audio stream). Then I also hijack the Blue Snowball microphone with the input as the Blue Snowball and the output set to silence.

When I record a conversation, my voice is much lower (even though the audio input volume on the Mac/Snowball is set to the highest level) than my guest’s voice (which is recorded via skype).

Any reasons you can think of why audio from the Snowball is recorded much lower? When I record using the Snowball straight into Garageband (not Audio Hijack), the volume is fine.
