Using FCE/QT Pro to create Win file that does not require QT/Win

I have some luddites on a newsgroup I frequent who don't want to install Quicktime for Windows. I've been casting about for a good solution, but can anyone recommend a QTPro encoding scheme that's compatible with WMP or RealMedia?

How about a windows-compatible MPEG4 player -- besides quicktime?

Why not export to an MPG4 movie, rather than a Quicktime Movie with MPG4 codec

Because it appears that Windows Media Player can only play mp4 files if users purchase a 3rd-party codec:
