Please Help. My office runs a windows 2000 server that uses a DHCP for all the PC computers in the office to access the internet. I have an ibook 300 mghz 160 megs RAM running mac os x 10.1. How do I plug into the network and access the proxy web server to get internet access. I set-up my ibook to look for DHCP but it does not find the web proxy server. Please help.

So I'm assuming that you have the DHCP part working right?
Here's what you have to do to use the web(http) proxy.
Go into the System Preferences and click on the Network "button".
Then click on the tab called "Proxies".
Then check "Web Proxy (HTTP)" and fill in the address and port of the proxy your company uses.
Click "Apply Now" and quit the system prefs.

Now you should be able to use the proxy.

At school they have given a demonstration of Windows NT. I think that they suggest the least cheapest version. And for the rest I don't know, sorry.
