hey there this is my first post on this forum since i got my mac.

but my Q is my pc copy of UT2k3 comes with the linux installer. i m being cheap if you see where im goin with this. but also i think my install of 10.3 is faulty cuz i upgraded from 10.2.8 and i had read soemwher ethat it was buggy when upgrading but fine when installed fresh. i dunno just curious to see if any one else has ahd similar experiences.

also is ther a way to speed up the boot process ? its rather slow for being maxed out on ram and a cpu upgrade. Q.S.G4 1.25 cpu\1.5g pc100 sdram\75 gb hdd\10.3.5. *can this take 133 sdram? or only 100? thanks for any replies.

just a thought, but in my opinion, and most gamers opinions, ut2k3 is the bastard child of the ut line. its a shoddily put together game, with nothing really new. id recommend just saving up the money for ut2k4, which is an amazing game, and is avaliable for os x

thanks i was unaware of such things but then again i dont really pay attention. thnaks again.

Your PC version of UT2k3 won't install on the Mac. The architecture is completely different. It doesn't matter what installer you use, Linux or Windows, it won't matter. Better just get the Mac native version which should be quite cheap these days since UT2k4 has been released.

Try reinstalling Panther to make it boot faster. There isn't much you can do. Changing the RAM to PC133 isn't going to help since your machine only uses PC100, and any PC133 RAM that gets installed is going to run at PC100 speeds.
