since i got my powerbook 12'' i had this problem that annoys me a great deal.
its weird. i have a usb hub (which i plug my mouse and printer in), and an external 2.5'' fujitsu drive with a vaio enclosure both plugged into my 2 usb ports.
if i eject the hard drive and then pull it out, i can plug something else in and thats ok, but then if i plug the drive back in, it doesnt came up in the system at all. the led on the enclosure doesnt even blink red like it does when it is about to be detected by the system. then, if i pull it out again, that usb port will be stuffed, nothing else will be detected in it, no matter what it is. and then if i unplug the hub and plug the drive in that port, it wont work again and will stuff that port up as well!!!!!!!!
and if i restart with the stuff plugged in or not, the ports will still be stuffed..
to get it working again i have to turn the computer off, unplug everything, turn it on and when it starts up, plug the two things in again.
how crazy is this? whats going on? is my powerbook shitting itself??
thanks
Marcos.
