Video Adatper for iBook - NTSC output only??

Sick of moving my Xbox across the house, today I bought the Video Adapter for iBook/iMac computers so I can use my iBook to watch videos through the TV. Works great, except that it seems to output NTSC, and my large TV is PAL only so the image is black and white and slightly off-centre.

Apple's website claims the device outputs PAL and NTSC, but I couldn't find any setting anywhere to choose between modes. The only Display Profile available to the TV when connected is one called "NTSC/PAL", but nowhere in the calibration settins does it mention NTSC or PAL modes.

Not sure what to do? :(

Have you tried setting the display to different resolutions/refresh rates?

ooOOoo that did it. put it on 50Hz and it's cool now.

I was looking in the wrong place. I just assumed it would be under the colour settings because the image was black and white.

i feel a little studpid, but i'm glad it's worked out :D

thanks a bunch fryke!

No problem. :) ... Initially, you had me stumped, too, with your question. But then I remembered that I had similar results once back before I connected my PowerBook to the video beamer instead of the TV set. (The beamer is handled more like a TFT monitor, I guess...)
