I switched back about a year ago after spending a while on the dark side
and picked up a 12" G4 Powerbook, which has been great. I've been using it as a portable DVD player occasionally which has been very handy. However just recently whenever I try and use the TV adapter (using composite) or the VGA out adapter, the PB goes to switch resolution, but just changes to a 640x480 box (not stretched - just occupies a small area on the screen) and neither VGA or TV signals work The display preferences don't pick up an external display, my CRT monitor doesn't show anything, and the TV just shows scrolling black and white lines/noise. Has anyone heard about this kind of issue before, or have any suggestions? Thankfully its under a 3 year warranty, but I'm really hoping I don't have to send it back..
