Viewing Files in Single-User

Hi Everybody,

My Macbook Pro's hard drive recently failed but I can still get into the single-user (white text on black screen) interface. I realllllly want to view the song names in my iTunes Library folder using this interface. Is this possible? Also, how difficult is the recovery of files in the single-user interface? (say, by saving mp3s to a flash drive)

i think what you are talking about is the OpenFirmware interface, if so, theres not any wat to do any of that what you CAN do is use an apperoite sized external media boot the installer CD (any version of OS X from the version that cam installed on the computer or anything later) will work use the Disc Utility if the laptops HDD still works (most of the time they just crash but the data is all accessable) select the laptop HDD and make a image of it save it to the external HDD or flash media once this is done try to reinstall the OS see if it boots
