ViewSonic Screen Flicker

Help Please.

My monitor has been flickering in all my graphic programs. I'm thinking this has something to do with OSX 10.5.8 and the ATI Radeon 9000 card in my G4 MDD. I've swapped out the ATI card for another of the same quality to see if I get the same problem. The flickering came back. I am now trying out a generic lcd (cornea) to see if the problem occurs.

Viewsonic has no answers, thus I am reaching out to this community in hopes someone may have ideas I have not thought of. Will an LCD monitor get unsync'd or go bad as it warms up??? What do you think?

G4 MDD
2 gigs ram
OSX 10.5.8
Viewsonic VP2030b
Photoshop CS3
Quark 8

Thanks!

Alternate monitor does not flicker.

ViewSonic does not flicker on another computer.

Now I am really baffled.

I had a Viewsonic that had the same problem. It started ~ 2 years after I bought it. It would start to flicker after it warmed up. I hooked it up to a PC and did the same thing. In the trash it went and the tree huggers can a screaming. . My 2 cents on how I fixed the problem.

Thanks for the reply Midijeep. The problem seems to be software related, so I won't be tossing this expensive monitor in the trash anytime soon.
