virtual host at user dir

how to get dynamic domain to point to files when the document root is changed to /User/name/Sites ? ?

I had it working fine when it pointed to /Library/WebServer/Documents

but for some reason it's not working at the user dir location

i changed the the root to User/name/Sites

I thought this was all that needed to be done ?

in the appache file, i have everything entered correctly to point to the Sites dir
 
Many people forget to go back and "enable" the site in Server Admin. Also, don't forget to turn the performance cache off under "options"

I always restart apache after a change and that didn't work either

never saw a performance cache setting is that in httpd.conf ?
