I just got my friends old copy of Virtual PC 5 to see if i like it. I was trying to installed Windows XP, and i followed the help file that says make the disk, and start it. So when it said no OS, i put in the windows CD restarted, and it said press any key to boot from CD, so i pushed a key, and nothing happens. All that i notice happens is my cpu usage goes up to 100% and nothing else happens. Btw im trying to install windows XP. Anyone have any ideas?

It would be better (if you don't already have it) to download the latest VPC 5.0.4 update (I think that's the one but I could be wrong  )...

After you update your VPC 5 do the same things and everything will be ok... Also, did you check if your Windows XP disk is bootable under a "real" PC? Or even if your Mac mounts it on your OS X desktop? Check these just to be sure that your XP CD is ok...

Let us know what gives! Oh, and in case that I didn't welcome you before: Welcome! :D ;)

:)

Ok, i updated, and it still didn't work, but i looked at my cd, and it was scratched like none other, so i made a new one, and im installing as we speak. Thanks for the help=)
