Virtual PC windows install

Can you install windows onto virtual PC without booting from a disk? I just got Virtual PC and not sure on how to install windows. I am thinking I need the CD, which I can get, but was wondering if you can install it from disk image...

Well havent tried it yet, but by searching the boards seems I have to create an ISO disk that windows will recognize.
Now, I know nothing about windows or how PCs work so I am guessing all the way. I am assuming that one can create a bootable disk image in windows like we can on a make. I just have to figure out what format and such. If anyone knows please share....

you can't boot from an image on windows if you are not using special tools (bootmanagers). There is partition magic that could have the ability for this..
