Volumes Unmount???

Hi,

When using OS X (any revision) my Networkk volumes disconnect at random times & also when performing a find on them???

Our Server is running Solaris & the OS X computers are connecting to it via Ethershare.
 
Welcome to the forum.
Did you ever transfer a huge file or folder so see, if it is a disconnection after an idle time or not? Maybe it's some energy saving process on either the client-systems or the server. Also: does this problem occur with any other system but OSX?
 
That was quick!!

It happens on all OS X systems (9).
It does disconnect when i wake up from sleep but it also happpens when i'm working.

This doesn't affect any other OS.

What sleep options do you recommend?? :(
 
What version of Ethershare are you running?
What version of OS X on the clients?
What is your IT setup, how many computers, how networked, etc.?
