I'm trying to set up a wireless network with my wallstreet. I bought a linksys wireless-b 11Mbps card. I inserted the card and booted my powerbook, then the power lamp on the card came on and OS X locked up on the apple w/ gray background screen.

I tried inserting the card after bootup and got the multilingual 'you need to reboot' screen.

I booted with the card inserted and boot-args=-v and got a error loading module (can't remember filename other than it contained pccard)

Is this a software issue? or a compatability issue? should I trade up to a wireless-g card? (I've read about alot of success with this card)

system info:
Wallstreet 300mhz
OS 10.2.6 (up to date)
no third-party drivers installed

Well, I retured the wireless-b card and router to bestbuy and bought wireless-g card and router from compusa (better price) and it worked out of box :) (no drivers) w/ airport v3.1

woohooo wireless network :)
