Woohoo!! I can finally delete my last remaining "warez":D With Newtek now offering a free learning edition of Lightwave I can finally stop this ware sh*t. Like I've said before, I never liked warez, but to me they were necessary because I had noway to learn the software, but now thanks to MayaPLE and the new free Lightwave learning edition my drive will be warez free:D Now, does anyone know where or when it will be unleashed to the public? I poked around the press release and newtek's website and www.lightwave3d.com and could not find any dates of links to download it...


Now if only more software vendors would release software like this (hint, hint, nudge, nudge):cool: Thanks Newtek and Maya!!
 
I've been doing the same thing with Warez for a while and over the last year have gradually gone legit one piece at a time. It's simply too unrealistic to pay for it all at once. It's also unrealistic to expect to demo software that doesn't let you save. The best option yet is the FULLY functional 30 day demo, I can live with that.

Without Warez, most software companies would never get my money, because I wouldn't bother with the ones that didn't have demos. They got their money a little late, but they got their money. At least that's how I choose to rationalize it.

As for Lightwave, I'm all over that like a wet suit or something like that. Don't have any dates for ya tho.
 
But the learning edition of Maya has that stupid "water mark" right in the middle of the working area :(
 
I agree that watermark in the middle of the working area is stupid, I understand having it on the rendering, but in the work are is just annoying. Maybe the next version won't have it;)
