Web Hosting recommendations?

I searched through the archive and found some useful links, but wanted something a bit more up-to-date. I am looking to change my host - i promised myself to dump my present provider in a pique about service issues from last year.

I'm looking for:
at least a gig of space
good bandwidth
multiple domains (a reseller type arrangement)
shell access
a good price (below $10 for the gig would be nice)


My present provider has the first three, but no shell access. If I change, I'd want to add that.

Any recommendations would be helpful, it could become a resource thread...

One caveat on what I wrote about HostExcellence is that they don't provide shell access. TextDrive does, as it's targeted towards developers. So does DreamHost. Both also provide tasty bits like Subversion, Ruby on Rails, multiple domains, and other features.
