I have a problem with acces to disks through Portfolio 8.1.1
I have just changed the computer from G4 to G5 and done cleans system installation. OS X 10.4.11
Only program I need in that machine is Portfolio 8.1.1 so I installed that.
Then I imported the Portfolio database-file from external disk.
New computer has 4 disks.
A is system. Here is Portfolio.
B is internal second disk. Empty.
C is external FW-disk. Empty.
D is NAS/RAID via AFP and there is the data.
I would like to add folders as watched folder for my database. Usually that is done from the Portfolio since then it can record the path.
But for some reason the empty disks don´t allow me to do that.
Instead of active watched folder it creates greyed folders in POrtfolio.
I asked about this in Extensis forums and people there suggested that it´s a permission problem.
Sure might be. But how do I correct permissions for external disks? And why they are messed up anyway - since this is new machine and clean installation. I didn´t need anythin from the old computer so I could do simple clean installaton.
Weird.
Suggestions?
