Hi gang,
I have a very strange problem mounting NFS volumes from my Linux box. I re-installed OSX to move it to another partition. Before, it worked fine (10.2.6), but now this problem:
Used NFS manager to set it up, mount is fine in a shell, I can do anything from the shell (change to directory, copy files, delete files, whatever), but when I create a symlink to the desktop and try to open it, the system tells me that I don't have the permissions to do this.
I would consider this a bug in MacOS somewhere, really. Privileges in the Terminal and on the Desktop ought to be _identical_!
Or is it me? Any ideas?
