OK, here is the problem. I have a HP laserjet 4MP connected to an old G3 300 with OS9. I have installed localtalk Bridge so I can print to it from my G4 on my local network. It has worked flawlessly for a year or so.
Then the other day when I went to print from my G4, the document magically dissapeared from the print queue without an error or printing. It processed the job then vanished.
I can print to the printer from my G3, I checked appleshare and localtalk control panel, all looks normal. I can connect to the G3 from my G4 and I even deleted the printer from OSX and it showed up in the available list and added it again. So there seems to be a certain amount of communication but no docs will print.
Does anyone have any suggestions...besides buying an adaptor or anything like that. It has worked fine for so long so I shouldn't have to buy something to get it to work now.
