What are Classic CPs for?

There are certain functions in the Classic environment that OS X takes over. Many of these are network related, or things like Date & Time (if you open the D&T Classic control panel, you'll notice you can't set the date).

You still can use many of the Classic control panels, which allow you to change settings for only Classic applications, but Mac OS X settings sometimes apply to Classic as well.

Really? You CAN open them? I can't. I can when I am booted in 9, and I have thrown some away a couple of times, but when I rebooted in 9 it said I was missing control panels -- ones I don't use like Launcher -- and would I like to put them back and said something that I took mean that it thought I should, so like a coward, I do.
