What do YOU want?

Hello!

I would like to use this thread to post feature requests for the next beta of PowerText. What would you like to see in it? A beautiful interface like Word, more features, better file support and whatever else you may want.

I know that PowerText should probably be renamed WimpyText :rolleyes: but with your help I think we can really put some muscle on its bones.

And, in case you have not gotten PowerText, just use the link in my signature to download the sit file.

My goal for PowerText is to have just as much (and more features) then Microsoft Word for a insanely low price ($5-$10), that way use "die-hard" Apple users can stay away from "the evil" microsoft while still being able to exchange files with those who use it all the time ( :eek: ). (By the way, I am working on a DOC import/export feature :D

Hey,
I don't know exactly what to say here. But look into AppleScript scripts, you may find you can add a lot more to your application that you never dreamed possible!!!

Ahhh! The possibilities are infinite!

Wow, I just put together a bunch of scripts in less than 20 minutes! Improvements in PowerText include:

1.) Now distributed in a disk image.
2.) PowerText has its own installer! No, not InstallerVISE but a native OS X installer programmed from the ground up by me.
3.) New and improved BRCP (Bug Reporting Center for Programmers). Now sends data quietly in the background instead of opening Mail!
4.) Many open and save bug changes (to many to take time to list)
5.) Better sheet support, more dialog boxes are sheets like TextEdit.
6.) Delay dialog removed. What do we need it for since we are beta testers? Will be replaced in final version.

I am working on a DOC and RTF import / export as well as a PDF export.

The release is soon, just need to implement a few more features.
