What is the default root password?

I just installed os 10.3 and am trying to access my root account, but do not know the password? How can I change it, and what is the default?

If you created an account then when you "Log In" you will be able to see your password hint (if you set it up this way) after the 3rd try.
 
Root is disabled by default. You can use NetInfo Manager in Utilities to enable it. Under the Security menu select Enable Root User and it will ask you to enter the new password to use for the root account. Don't forget it or else you will have to boot from the install CD to reset it.

You don't want to run as root all the time either because you risk damaging your system if you don't know what you are doing.
 
to change root's password use the command 'sudo passwd root' in the terminal, i dont think there is a default root passwd, there may be though.
