What is the ".sit" file format?

The .sit format is a file that was compressed using Stuffit Expander. Download it here:

Providing you version of System / MacOS X would have been nice.
If you are running MacOS X (version 10.2.x [Jaguar] or 10.3.x [Panther]), by simply double-clicking on the '.sit' file - 'StuffIt Expander' should automatically launch and preperly de-compress the file.
If you have MacOS X 10.4.x (Tiger), you will have to first download 'StuffIt Expander', as stated by nixgeek.

You've already got the answers... Now... Yes: Don't do thread titles like this, please. Imagine 40 threads that are titled like yours ("what is..") with different questions in the first post. Terrible. Try to create titles that are clear and to the point.
