I was editing some old movies for an anniversary coming up, to make a "memories" DVD.. These are probably 15-25 years old. I was fastforwarding through the christamas tape when.. whoa! Is that an apple box? What do you suppose this is? A mac classic or something? See attached video.

It's a box. :D

OK, sorry, I'll get my coat...

To be honest, I don't know what model of Mac it is, but I was surprised that the Apple logo was one color, and not the stripey one which I associate with the 1980s and 1990s.

Hmmm, anyone able to shed any light?

Yeah, thats what I thought when I saw it. It definatly old film: it came off reels (super 8mm film). It's not important to know what it is, just interesting..

Thats like the applecare logo.. mabey it's a HUGE applecare box. They had everything on floppys, you know.

The film date is 1982..
(iMovie claims it was captured 2017, but the reel says 1982..)

If I remember right the old Apple II boxes also had just a red logo. One color is so much cheeper to print on the cardboard, I also seem to remember that we had an apple brand monitor that came in a box like that but I could be wrong. I mean I was like 8 or something. (Although we did keep the boxes for years)

Definitely pre-Mac *and* pre-Lisa, so it's got to be either a monitor or an Apple ][ of some kind. Size would say a monitor, imho.

It's on an '82 reel, so maybe they put some other years on that reel too.. or it's a beta version. My great uncle must have been a spy in Apple..
