I just got a little utility called ThermoInDock that I'm using with my iMac DV Sage (640 RAM, G3 450MHz).
It reads a relatively constant 40C unless I don't touch it for a while then it goes down to about 36C.
What is the safe upper limit range (from dangerous, to damage causing) that the G3 [in an iMac] can safely operate?
PS I got it at www.macosxapps.com check it out it's pretty neat and I assume it's accurate.
Tip: I've had one iMac overheat once, to cool it down I got an airduster with a straw and if the temp gague (in Classic) went above the red line I just shot some *AIR* (i.e., not frozen propellant into the vent by the handle. Brought it down to 30C in 3 seconds haha.
