When???? iTunes for Windows?

So I'm at home on a fregging Win2K PC - given up on WinAmp and frustrated with MusicMatch! WHEN will iTunes for Windows be released???

Hell I'll be happy with a Beta or something! WinAmp and MusicMatch suck so bad - If I had the money I'd get a 2nd Mac for home (or Powerbook).
ARGH! :(

You could sell your PC, put the money toward a Mac... get money easily via online surveys (search on Google, click the ones that say they pay you to take surveys)... buy a second-hand Mac...

Man - it's not worth a dime!
The only thing valuable about it might be the GeForce 4 Ti card... and I want to see if I can make that work on my Mac. :p
 
What are its specs?

The Ti will work if you have the matching interface in your Mac. If it's a PCI card, then no problem... if it's AGP, you need to make sure your Mac has an AGP slot. The easiest way is probably to find your model in MacTracker or on www.apple-history.com.

I thought it had to be Mac-Specific in order to work on the Mac...

Well, this PC is an AMD Athlon 1Ghz, that I'd probably keep the hard drive, memory and video card.... so basically all the stuff that would make it worth while to sell are staying with me! lol :)
 
forget iTunes on PC, how about iTunes on *Nix platform... is it possible? since OS X is already on FreeBSD platform which is basically *Nix platform...

how about that?
 
Yes, but iTunes is still a carbon app. Now if they were re-write itunes using LAME (and libOgg i guess) etc, using Coccoa and calls to unix libraries for encoding/playback, almost anything would be possible. but i dont see that happening (as much as i wish it would) anytime soon.
