Where have all the iWhiners gone?

Gee, after hearing Mr. Jobs say that Apple wasn't going to start charging for iTunes and iPhoto upgrades AND that it was going to stop charging for iMovie updates (!) and that iDVD 3 would be available for only $50, I thought all those iWhiners (the ones complaining about the "have to pay for iPhoto, iMovie & iDVD" rumor) would start posting praises to the Fruit King in droves... where'd they go? :D ;)

Maybe Steve visits MacOSX.com and heard it's plea. Which MacOSX.com member is most likely to be Stevie? :D

Have you ever stopped to think that Apple won't charge for the suite because of all the iWhining? Apple is a business, you know. They do listen to people's complaints. You suggest that we should applaud one of America's richest men because the company he runs won't be charging for applications that aren't worth charging for. Give them some time to mature. They'll start charging when they can start charging.

Unfortunately, it seems to be the standard now for people to bitch and moan before they know the whole story, or whenever they feel they have been shafted by Apple (remember the whole Quartz Extreme debacle). Then when they find out that things aren't quite as bad as they thought the would be, they're silent.

The iWhiners are busy repeatadly clicking the bug button in Safari to ask for tabs. ;-)

Just BTW, am I the only one who really couldn't give a toss about tabs? Tabs are confusing, annoying and get in the way of browsing.

Ummm...yes...which is probably why I said "Maybe Steve visits MacOSX.com and heard its plea. Which MacOSX.com member is most likely to be Stevie?" :) I wasn't entirely joking! Will the real Steve Jobs please step forward! :D

I really like tabs when I'm trying to look at several things from one site -- keeps it all together instead of mixing the windows from that site in with everything else I have open. i dunno, maybe I have a bad habit of keeping too many windows open... :D

well, i'm pretty sure Steve knows about us. either he or someone else was checking the mac sites for reactions to the releases and i heard from an apple employ that he is p.o.'d at www.macosrumors.com for his evaluation of safari at his site.

and this same employee, a developer, recongnized our site from my name tag and admits to stopping by here although wasn't sure if he is registered or not.

so Steve, if you're a member here, let me know so i can put an end to any personal attakcs against you. attacking other site members is against site policy :)

hell no, you're not alone. i think they are a huge waste and an otherwise bad idea. but as long as they are only a pref i could get rid of without adding slow bloat, then i'd be ok with them being added. otherwise all the tab heads can stick with whatever it is they use now.

Ha ha! Thanks Jeb! It took a moment to click exactly what it was I was looking at ... the (guitar) tabs for "A Warm Fuzzy Feeling".

Actually, I've decided I like the way Safari does its bookmarks. Click the book, you get your bookmarks in an iTunes style view, with groupings at the left.

Does anybody else wonder if we'll be able to give star-ratings to our bookmarks someday?
