Where is the iTunes library located?

My iTunes app abandoned me!

Here's the 'ChangeLog', chronologically, but with some time in between:
1. I added new mp3's to the library, renamed them manually and all
2. I changed the file structure of my homedir
3. I found out that I had three iTunes libraries and decided to replace the oldest one with the newest one and throw the others away. Seemed logical. :-)

Now here's the deal. My library is gone.
Can someone look up/tell me the default location of the library?
In iTunes I can't find a feature to replace the current (empty) library with another one.

By the way, I recovered the other two libraries from the trash so should be able to fix it, I guess... ;-)
 
If you've still got all your MP3s in a couple of sensible places, you might as well clear all the references off your iTunes list, then re-import them into iTunes. A little slow, but still the easiest way to do it. (I have a habit of backing up my MP3 files, but never the iTunes libraries, so I have to do this a bit)
 
Ahh, yes. That brings us to another neat iTunes trick which is useful for backing up. If you drag-and-drop a folder of MP3s into a playlist, they'll show up in that playlist.
I know I've found this useful in the past, but I'll be damned if I can remember why ...
 
it makes burning an album darn simple to drag a folder into a new playlist window. no sorting required.
 
Dragging the folders, and thus creating a whole new library was to be my last option. But, no need, I put the library in Documents/iTunes, it is fixed now.

Still figuring out why iTunes created two extra libraries, must have been because I shuffled the dirs.
And I still think that importing or changing libraries would be a great feature. Even a feature where you could manually configure the path to the library would be great. I hate that thing in my Documents folder.
