Hi,
the optical drive of my ibook G4 12" seems to be broken. The system profiler tells me that it is a
MATSHITACD-RW CW-8123
As I intended to get a DVD-RW drive anyway to burn DVDs, I thought it might be a good idea to have an internal one to replace the original CD-RW/DVD-R drive now that it's broken.
I found a very good installation manual on the web, and though it seems rather complicated, I'm not scared so far as I've opened some laptops before. BUT I really don't know the following thing:
HOW can I find out which DVD-RW Drive is suitable for my ibook?
