I was looking around on Smalldog.com, and I found both refurb 15" & 17" superdrive iMacs. I currently have a 15" combo, and it's just not doing it for me anymore...I want a SUPERDRIVE
My question is this...the 15" is $1269, and the 17" is $1529. Other than the screen size, which would REALLY come in handy when using FCP (I'm into film) the only real difference is the graphics card...NVIDIA2x (32MB) in the 15", and NVIDIA4x (64MB) in the 17". With the $ I save by buying the 15", I could almost buy a nice starter DV cam, like a Canon ZR45. My question is this...is the larger screen (and more importantly) the extra 32MB of VRAM worth the $300? I'd like to play games now and again, and it'd be great if I could pull 55 or 60 fps in Doom3, Unreal, etc...how much will the VRAM affect gaming and more importantly, video editing? What's your opinion on which I should go with, and why? The 17" by itself, or the 15" and a DV cam? Thanks
