White mac book problems.

hi, i just recently bought a second hand white mac book 13'.

it does not hold any charge, i bought a battery online but it hasn't reached yet, so i don't know if a bad battery has anything to do with this.

1) When the computer starts up and i press down too hard on the area by the track pad (picture uploaded) the message comes up "do you want to restart the computer" Why is that ? (it comes up every single time i press down on that area)

2) it randomly shuts down after it boots up. when its off it doesn't turn on unless i hold it up by a angle (as seen in picture) i don't know if its the charger or what but it does it religiously.

Please help me :( .

Sounds like a bad connection. Maybe just a board needs reseating, or maybe a crack.

But the Shut Down message should only appear if you hit the "on/off" button. So maybe the fault is around there.

Yup, bad connection or bare wire short. If you're not comfortable opening it up, see an Authorized Apple repair depot or Apple store ASAP.
