I found this excerpt particularly funny, about what laptops will "look like" in the second half of 2003:

Notebooks will come with Banias (an upcoming energy-efficient processor), an optical drive, integrated 802.11 and Bluetooth wireless features, and reduced power consumption to extend battery life. They will weigh 4.5 pounds and be 1.2 inches thick.

Wait, WHAT? Notebooks will have an OPTICAL DRIVE? OM_F_G! And they'll have INTEGRATED WIRELESS NETWORKING? And they'll have reduced power consumption that allows them to extend battery life longer than an hour (I believe I remember Coursey complaining about this) on most PC laptops? And they'll be ONLY 4.5 pounds and 1.2 inches thick?? That is SO GODDAMN REVOLUTIONARY! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! *listen* Wait, what's this mystical "iBook" you speak of?

OK, on a different note, did anybody else find the picture of "Intel's Executive mobile concept PC" butt-ugly too?

Did you hear? Dell is moving to all LCD's so that they can "Copy Apple Again. (TM)"

*Ahem* It seems that I have misquoted.

They are moving to all LCD's so they can "differentiate themselves from their competitors."

I guess reality is funnier sometimes.:D

Tee hee, I sent an iBook iCard to Michael Kanellos, C|Net's "knowledgable" staff writer. Here it is:

Wow...I can't believe this article actually got written...without even one mention of Apple too...the stupidity of it all has absolutely stunned me.

LOL, that iCard is priceless too...
