Why does my printer make the papers wet?

When ever I print something with a lot of ink, it gets wet. I've noticed at my school the papers are totally dry. Are there some changes I can make to my printer's settings to fix this? Thanks!

Hm. It might definitely depend on both the paper quality and the printer make. 90g/m3 paper fares a lot better compared to 80g/m3 paper, for example. What printer are we talking about - and is it the same as in school?

I have an All-in-one Lexmark X75, the school has a better Lexmark printer. (It's a lot bigger as well.)
Thanks

Is your printer an inkjet? They make paper wet if there's s lot of ink!

A much bigger printer could be a laser printer. this prints in the same way as a photocopier - dry powder that is heat bonded to the paper.

Did you install any software when you hooked up your printer? There are often settings included that affect output. Even if you don't recall installing software, try to print something and check the middle drop down menu in the final dialogue confirmation window.

You will often find semi-default modes such as "draft" or "faster printing" which equate to less ink output. My HP has settings to directly alter ink output ("less ink") as well as indirectly (via "saturation" and "vibrancy" settings).

I would be hard pressed to believe there are no settings for quality of print or output, dig around in your print options.
