Very strange issues regarding using the iBOOK travelling. My partner is in New York City on business. Yes, New York City! And you can't connect with WiFi unless you're willing to pay handsomely for it (Well. Naturally!). Long story short, we are using an internet phone connection while still trying to find someplace in the city that may offer free wireless (like a hotel lobby). In any event, he is able to get online and check mail or view a homepage, but if he tries to change the home page, or send mail, the wheel "Spins and spins and spins" and then he's dropped off the server. This has never happened before when travelling. We've always just opened the ibook, turned on the airport and off we went. Or, if airport wasn't available, just did the phone line thing.
Now, the only thing I have done recently, is that I did set up some security things in regards to the base station. Is this in any way related?
