Will The 500Mhz Sawtooth processor work?

Hi there!
I have a Power Mac G4 (AGP Graphics) 350Mhz model. I am looking at upgrading the processor. Does anyone know if the 500Mhz Sawtooth processor Apple part # 820-1107-A pulled from a G4 Sawtooth circa 1999 will work?

if your mac is really not a pci graphics (yikes) model, but is agp graphics, then it is a sawtooth mac, and the faster g4 should work.

Thank you sinclair_tm! ::ha:: I never knew the difference between Yikes and Sawtooth. That is very helpful information.

Yikes! was a Power Mac G3 with a with a G4 processor in it, and slightly different casing. Sawtooth was a complete redesign of the innerds to be a fully G4 compliant system, and thoroughly modern, too.
