Fri 1 Feb 2002 [1:00 AM] - wincent.org status update
As you know, it's now nearly a year since we switched networks and got ourselves hosted at www.cfgn.net. You may be wondering what happened to the "new wincent.org"? The one that was "coming soon"?
The short version is that my "PhD" is what happened, but things are getting back under control now and I'm ready to resume development on the new site. I can't make any promises other than that wincent.org will come back. In the meantime there are three things that are holding up development:
Lack of time. Expected to improve over the next few months as the PhD winds up.
Lack of development machine. We need to get our hands on a rack-mountable development machine, preferably a nice slim one (1RU), and stick FreeBSD on it. If you're able to help out with any of the hardware drop me a line at win@wincent.org. (Specifically looking for a 1RU case/PSU, 500MHz+ AMD or Intel CPU, suitable mobo, 512+ MB RAM, networking card with two 100MBit ports etc.)
Lack of cash. Feel free to make a donation via PayPal if you want to help out.
