Window resizing in the Finder...

Can someone tell me how to get a new finder window to have the same size as the last one you closed. I just can't change the default window size! How to you do it?

Hello,

As far as I know, there is no way to do this. BUT. to get around this little annoyance, just create an AppleScript that resizes the window and places it in the correct spot on the screen. Then, put the script in your toolbar.

I'd send you mine, but I'm on a school PC right now. When I get home, I'll post a URL.

hmm...there has to be some way to do it because I have used windows in many different sizes than that one I have right now. I just can remember how I did it...

First open a new Finder window. Then resize it to the size you want. Then close it. Do not do anything but resize and close it!
The size should then be preserved as the default for future Finder windows.

It's even safer if you close all windows first, then open a new window, resize it, and then close it.
