Hi all, it would not be a lie if I told you that I'm quite new in Apple community. I've alvas been Win/Unix geek (to underline this fact I can tell you that I wrote and published some books about OS systems here in my country). Well I' exploring this world now, it's fascinating, but there's one thing I really miss in Apple world which is obvious in PC's - good, fast and reliable file manipulator (just like Windows Commander).
Now Finder is like Explorer - useless for professionals, who rather would use keyboard then mouse in any file manipulation.
Ok, I know there's muCommander, but after using it for 10 sec you'll realize that there's lack of pretty useful functions like: command line, directory hot list, not to mention Alt+letter searching. And opening inside view for 300kb file is a joke - on my G4 it takes more than 2 minutes!.
You can tell me - there's SNAX - go get Snax and I'll agree with you, it's very impressive piece of software. But on the other hand it's not even in half that fast as Windows Commander 5.0 is.
Third solution is usage of Midnigh Commander, but as you know, it's not elegant to use console based program is Aqua.
So finally my question - do you know any other alternative for Windows Commander and it's functionality?
