Hi to all,
I'm a developer and I've been having an issue for quite a while. I work in English and in French. My Mac OS X is in US.
When I receive .sql files from an exported database, from a windows platform, I have issues with the line breaks and the accents. "é" become to "È" and every other letter that has an accent also has it's own "transformation".
When I try to import the .sql file to give content to a database, I always get an error because of the line breaks that it cannot "understand", giving me a syntax error. Usually for the "create" tables.
For the content, I have to find & replace each accented letter with it's correct one.
Has anyone found a convertor or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
