First off, I did a search but couldn't find any posts for this particular thing. If there is one and I've missed it, sorry!
So, yuk - I learned this lesson with OS 9. Last year I installed WMP and discovered all processes (get info, moving files around etc) slowed down and even hung occasionaly. I dumped the browser plugin and associated files, rebooted and all was normal again.
Today I downloaded and installed the OS X version (7.1.4 I think it is) from the MS Download Centre and had the same problems as OS 9. Dumped it, rebooted and all is fine again in OS X.
Happily I can live without the flipping thing, but has anyone had the same problems or know what's in it that could affect both OS's, or could it be an extension or something that has lived on my G4 450 since birth?
