Has anyone tried this app? I am reluctant to upgrade VPC for $100 and put money in Bill's pocket.

In my humble opinion... VirtualPC is great!

You may try other things, but if there is any liklihood that you'll end up with VirtualPC, then I'd reccomend you buy it today.

Tomorrow it will not be an issue of who's pocked your VirtualPC $ goes into... Do you really think Microsoft is going to continue making the Mac verion of this product? Heck NO! (Unless Steve Jobs gets off his duff and makes another one of those $multi-million deals with M$ like he did with Office.)

Buy virtual PC today while you still can.


(For anyone who did not realize, Microsoft just bought Connectix...)
 
Microsoft has already stated that they're committed to continue the Virtual PC line. Why wouldn't they? They're offering up another market for windows licences.

Virtual PC will become part of the MacBU at MSFT.
 
I do not know the fat of VPC. Microsoft wanted the virtual machine technology for other reasons. Nearly every VPC sold is another MS operating system sold. I doubt they will kill the money source.

Wintell CD was ordered yesterday. $30 is well worth the gamble to see if it is as usable and cheaper than VPC.

I'll post when I get it.
