Wireless access anywhere with MacBook

New to the Mac world, need to have internet access when I travel. No card access port on MacBook so is there a work around?http://macosx.com/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif

It is already built-in to the computer. You already have wireless access. Not needed to buy an additional wifi card at all! Have you taken a look at your Macbook's manual and/or the specifications for the computer? Here's a link to the specs to help you out:

http://www.apple.com/macbook/specs.html

This is what it says a bit further down on the page:
Wireless Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme Wi-Fi (802.11g)(4); built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) module

I use it myself every day of the week and it works terrific (I myself happen to use a Netgear wifi router at home that I connect wirelessly to).

Have a nice day and welcome to the Mac community! :)
